Since March this year, Fujikura Europe has been working closely with a number of companies to establish a distributor channel in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Previously, one distributor, based in Stockholm, served Fujikura Europe’s customers in this region but today, the leading supplier of FTTH technology and products now provides focused delivery through BBT Benny Larsen ApS in Denmark, EG Fiberoptics AB in Sweden, Foss AS in Norway and K&K Active OY in Finland. “This network allows us to better understand and monitor the local needs within each of these territories,” explained Fernando Terceiro, European Distribution Manager. “We are already delighted with the results because not only are we providing an improved service to our customers, but we also have a better understanding of their market needs.” For over 20 years Fujikura Europe has been an international player in developing markets and has always provided local customers with one-to-one personal contact, with a fully trained distributor in their market place to address local issues. And it is upon this successful policy that Fujikura has expanded the capabilities of its Scandinavian network. Each of the new distributors has gone through a rigorous selection process and have followed intensive product training in order to provide Fujikura expertise to their local customers. Fujikura Europe sets a high priority on the continued reputation and quality of its products and services and aims to safeguard the confidence that customers have in the Fujikura name. Therefore, the distributors have been appointed because of their ability to commercially market the Fujikura product portfolio and their provision of dedicated sales and engineering teams that together, can cover all aspects of the telecommunications market and can deliver after-sales service and repairs for any Fujikura product. “Trust is very important in our relationship with local distributors,” adds Fernando. “We support and work with them so that they are as self-sufficient as possible to deliver to local customers. Yet, it’s vital that we trust them to understand the local market needs and deliver Fujikura products and services in the right way to the customer, so that our role at Head Office is simply to provide back-up support and monitor market developments.” By ensuring that Fujikura Europe is represented separately in each Scandinavian territory, the company is now more confident than ever of providing a more dedicated and efficient service to its customers. |
