Laying
Insulated cores shall be cabled with suitable fillers in round shape and a binder tape shall be applied helically over the cabled cores.
Shield (for Shielded Control Cables)
Shield shall be an annealed copper tape (minimum thickness 0.05mm) applied helically over the binder tape.
Separation Sheath (for Armoured Cables)
Separation sheath shall be black PVC compound complying with ST1 of IEC 60502-1.
Armour
Armour shall consist of double layer of galvanized steel tape (type DSTA) or single layer of galvanized steel wires (type SWA). A suitable binder tape may be applied at manufacture discretion.
Outer sheath
Outersheath shall be black PVC compound complying with ST1 of IEC 60502-1
Cable Marking
ELECTRIC CABLE voltage rating and manufacturer's name shall be embossed on the outersheath.
