Construction

Conductor : Plain annealed copper, solid, class 1 as per BS 6360.

Insulation : Type 3 polyethylene compound.

Twinning : Two/three insulated cores twisted to form a pair/triad

Filler (optional) : Suitable filler with binding tape applied at the manufacturer's discretion

Individual pair screen : Laminated aluminium polyester tape (min. thickness of aluminium 0.008mm and min. thickness of polyester tape of 0.010mm) with tinned copper drain wire of 0.5mm² (20/0.18mm)

Bedding : AL/HDPE/PA composed of laminated aluminium (nom. aluminium thickness 0.20mm), Black polyethylene moisture barrier and polyamide; 0.5mm² (20/0.18mm) tinned annealed copper drain wire shall be laid longitudinally in contact with Aluminium layer

Armour : Galvanised steel wire with binding tape if necessary.

Outer sheath : (Non IS: Black; IS: Light blue) HDPE Compound
